What we check, what NBA enrollment means, and what 'verified' status guarantees.
From name check to certificate — every stage, with typical timelines.
Checked against the Nigerian Bar Association's enrollment register before they can take a single case on Adaka.
Payment sits in escrow and only releases as work is actually completed — never handed over upfront.
If something isn't right, funds stay frozen until an Adaka admin reviews the case and settles it fairly.
The service fee starts from ₦28,000, plus the CAC registry fee which scales with your authorised share capital. The minimum share capital is ₦1,000,000 — the registry fee for this tier is included in the base price. Your lawyer will show you a transparent cost breakdown before you pay anything.
Name reservation at CAC typically takes 1–3 working days. Once reserved, you have 60 days to complete your registration. Full incorporation — documents, filing, and receiving your certificate — generally takes 5–15 working days depending on CAC processing times. Your lawyer will keep you updated at each stage.
When you fund a milestone, your payment goes into a secure escrow account — not directly to the lawyer. Funds are only released when you confirm the milestone's work is complete. If you raise a dispute, the funds stay frozen while it's reviewed. You never pay upfront for work that hasn't been done.
If you believe a milestone hasn't been completed correctly, you can raise a dispute. The funds for that milestone stay frozen while an Adaka admin reviews the case — looking at both the lawyer's submission and your response. If the work genuinely wasn't done, you get a refund for that milestone.
Every lawyer submits their Supreme Court enrollment number (SCN), state of call, and practising certificate details. Adaka's team checks this against the Nigerian Bar Association's register. Only lawyers with a 'verified' status appear in client searches and are eligible for automatic assignment.
Yes. You can cancel a request at any point. Milestones you haven't yet paid for are cancelled — you owe nothing. If you've funded a milestone but the work hasn't been confirmed complete yet, that escrow balance is returned to you. Only milestones already released to your lawyer are non-refundable.
A Business Name (sole proprietorship) is cheaper to register but offers no separation between you and the business — you're personally liable for its debts. A Limited Liability Company (Ltd) is a separate legal entity: it can own property, sue and be sued in its own name, and your personal assets are protected. CAC registration through Adaka covers Limited Liability Companies.
No. The entire process happens remotely — your lawyer handles all CAC filings digitally. The only physical step is printing and signing your completed incorporation documents, which your lawyer guides you through. For affidavits, virtual swearing before a Commissioner for Oaths is available.
Pick a template, answer a few simple questions in plain language — no legal jargon — and we assemble your document from lawyer-approved clauses. A verified Nigerian lawyer then reviews it before it's finalized. You're never handed a raw template to figure out alone.
₦5,000 per document, pay as you go — or join Adaka Membership and get a batch of documents bundled into your term, plus free lawyer matchings every month. Lawyer review is a separate ₦2,500 fee, paid directly to the reviewing lawyer. Nothing is charged until your document has actually been drafted and reviewed.
Yes. Members can edit within their term's document allowance at no extra cost. Pay-as-you-go users pay a small fee per edit. Every edit goes back through lawyer review, so your document stays legally sound.
Documents are assembled from clauses drafted and approved by qualified lawyers, then individually reviewed by a verified lawyer before finalization, and can be signed electronically by all parties. The final signed copy is a tamper-evident PDF stored in your account.
Yes — every document on Adaka can be signed electronically. You can draw your signature or type your name, and each signature is recorded with a timestamp and audit trail. Other parties (like a landlord or business partner) can sign through a secure link even if they don't have an Adaka account.
Electronic signatures are recognized under Nigerian law (including the Evidence Act as amended). Each Adaka signature carries an audit trail — who signed, when, and from where — which supports its validity. For specific situations, any lawyer on the platform can advise you.

Before registering a company, you need to know if your chosen name is actually available at the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). For ₦2,000 per name, a verified lawyer personally checks your name against the CAC register and gives you a clear verdict — available, taken, or too similar to an existing name. If it's available, the same lawyer can take you straight into registration. Name searches are also bundled free into most Adaka Membership tiers — see pricing.
Yes — pick from lawyers offering the service, or let Adaka assign one automatically. Either way it's the same flat ₦2,000-per-name fee (or free if covered by your membership).
Yes. You can book a call with your lawyer from their available time slots — you'll both get a meeting link and reminders. Lawyers can also send you a request to schedule a call when they need to discuss your matter.
Scheduling itself is free. Whether a consultation carries a fee depends on the lawyer and the service — any fee is always shown before you book.
Only after your document has been drafted and lawyer-reviewed. You pay to unlock the finished, reviewed document — not for a promise.
Payments for legal engagements are escrow-protected — your money is held safely and only released when the work is done. Disputes are handled through Adaka's resolution process.
